Allow me to introduce myself, my name is M.

Also known as Emily Buickerood Cournoyer, I am a designer and photographer, avid traveler, outdoor enthusiast, music lover, and the girl who truly believes there is no bad time for a burrito.

Currently based in Southern California, I have spent my career providing creative vision and project management guidance to small and mid-sized businesses. I find joy in helping clients build their businesses from the ground up and have been fortunate enough to be a part of startups that have turned into successful companies that continue to see growth.

By day, I lead the design of all digital and print marketing materials for a client communications software company. By night, I enjoy creating websites and printed materials for companies and organizations all over the country.

Outside of design, you can find me:

• Traveling, by car and by plane, as much as possible (Next up: Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks)

• Looking for the world’s best breakfast burrito (Current front runner: Juanitas Taco Shop)

• Reading a good book while at the beach (A good book plus the sound of the waves? *chef’s kiss*)

• Enabling my addiction to Law and Order: SVU (Olivia Benson for President)

I am a born and raised Philadelphian who relocated to Southern California in 2018. I have a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design Communications from Thomas Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University) and certificates in Web Development from Codecademy and NYCDA.
